Assignment Summary

Ever dream of having your work shown on the silver screen at a major film festival? Here’s your chance!

The New York Film Festival and their host The Film Society of Lincoln Center are looking for a creative, original short trailer to play before each film screening. The trailer should celebrate the kind of compelling, global cinema the organization is known for as well as be a great complement to the program ahead.

Before you start work, please read all the details of this assignment in the Creative Brief which you can download in the asset tray below.

The Film Society is a non-profit organization on a typically tight arts org budget, so there is no cash award. Instead, they are providing a super package of excellent VIP awards, as well as the opportunity for serious, major league exposure to your work. The winning trailer will premiere during the New York Film Festival and could ultimately be shown in their theaters year-round before programming.

Maybe you can make it to the big screen sooner than you think!

Once you’ve accepted this assignment and you’d like to ask questions or leave comments, please see the discussion in the Town Hall here.

The deadline for submissions is September 9, 2009.
