Assignment Summary
America is overweight, yet we all understand the challenge in achieving weight-loss. We want you to tell a story about a real-life quest to achieve a healthier weight.
Create a 2-3 minute video – an audition tape – proposing how you will chronicle one person’s 12-week quest to follow the Atkins Diet Plan to achieve a healthier weight. This video should hook the audience, encouraging viewers to want to follow the dieter on his or her journey.
Based on this video, a minimum of five filmmakers will be invited to create video journals of these quests. These would consist of 12 two to three minute videos, filmed and uploaded to Poptent.net once per week.
Note that this assignment requires a sustained and high quality commitment from both the filmmaker and the dieter. Only creators who are confident that they can deliver all the segments in a timely and high quality manner should consider applying.
The audition videos must be submitted by January 15, 2010.
The five or more creators selected can earn $12,000 each for their series of videos. They will be expected to begin filming promptly after selection, and then to deliver the remaining 12 segments regularly over the next 12 weeks.
