Assignment Summary

There's an awesome range of talent in the Poptent community, and we want to help you showcase your skills and get your talent recognized by the right people. We have added an element to Reel of the Month to give you the opportunity to do just that! You have the chance to show off your overall filmmaking chops as well as your expertise in specific areas of production.

Each month we select the creators of two demo reels to receive cash awards of $250 each — one for best overall reel plus one for an assigned themed reel.

You can choose to submit a general demo reel, themed reel, or even both! The theme for May 2013 is ANIMATION – so if you are a motion graphics genius, have a love for stop motion, or just love making cartoons then we want to see your reel!

To keep you all on your toes - themes alternate on a monthly basis! So make sure you stay tuned.

The Deadline for uploading your demo reels is 11:59PM on the last day of the calendar month.

The winners and honorables mentions will be announced ten business days after the deadline.

Approved - Once your submission has been reviewed by the community managers and all ducks are in a row — your submission will be approved and officially entered into the assignment. Once approved, your submission is completely locked. If you need to make any changes to your submission, you can click the unlock request link.

Unlocked - After a unlock request has been issued, your submission status will be displayed as Unlocked. While in this state, your media is editable, but not deletable. When you’re done making your changes, click the submit button to have your submission go up for approval.
